Royal Mail has announced its annual stamp price rises which will take effect from 4 April 2011.

Stamp prices in the UK have increased by a record amount (from 4 April) – with a First Class stamp rising by 5p to 46p. Second Class stamps will rise 4p to 36p, whilst the cost of a large letter stamp will rise by 9p to 75p for First Class items and 7p to 58p for Second Class mail.

A stamp for a first class large letter now costs 75p but sending it as franked mail only costs 55p.

Centormail has integrated static scales which allows you to select the class of service and sets the postage rate automatically. the scales can be used for items up to 5 kg and also has a seperate platform for parcels up to 30 kg. Centormail also offers dynamic scales which are optional with the machine. These scales weigh every piece of unsorted mail and calculate the correct postage.

The Ultimail is a mid volume machine ideally suited to medium size businesses. The ultimail is a modular franking machine available in two speeds- the ultimail 65 will process 65 letters per minute and the ultimail 95 processing up to 95 letters per minute. All machines are supplied complete with a Royal Mail license.
Both the Ultimail 65 and the Ultimail 95 can be configured with or without an integrated 5kg weighing scale and also have the option of an external parcel scale which can be interfaced.
The Ultimail 65 can be supplemented by either a semi or a fully automatic feeder and the Ultimail 95 by an automatic feeder.

FP are a German manufacturer of Franking machines who offer a full range of machines from the small user Mymail,medium range optimail and Opti 30 through to high end machines ultimail and centormail. All machines are fully licensed by The Royal Mail.
Themailingroom.com also offer a full range of postal weighing scales all of which can be interfaced to any of the franking machines above.
We also supply folding inserting machines- again these can deal with a whole host of applications from the fpi500 ideally suited to a small office to higher end applications for which we offer the fpi2000,fpi4000 and fpi5000 ranges.
