I was recently a stamp user sending out around £110 worth of mail a week. Also I was sending out over 1,000 statements a month. I now have an Optimail 30 machine and find cleanmail a great benefit and money saving scheme.

You can see from the graph on the blog, the saving you could make by using a franking machine. Doesn't this put it into prospective that you no longer have to go to the post office to buy stamps.
Look at the saving, " pence m,ight not seem a lot but it all adds up. Also especially when you notice that you could save 6 pence by using cleanmail, so if you send out 1000 items you would be saving £60 on first class and second class letters.
The Royal Mail doesn't like you using stamps - They are expensive to produce and distribute. The Royal Mail prefers businesses to use franked mail instead.
This is why the Royal Mail offers postal discounts on franked mail.
In 2008 the incentives have become even better with certain discounts being increased by 50% in the April 2008 price tariffs.
