Franking machines and environmentally friendly inks

at · 5 Comments

Franking Machine and environmentally friendly inks was a phrase that up until a few years ago would have got you a blank look and likely as not a trip to the funny farm.
However at themailingroom.com we are becoming increasingly aware of our responsibilities to the community and indeed to the world at large.
Our latest range of machines all use inkjet technology ( mymail, ultimail and centormail) this enables you to control the amount of ink squirted onto each envelope and also being as they are reusable cartridges means that when eventually the ink does run out they can be refilled using natural resources.
We offer a recycling facility for all used cartridges and this facility is also available for 'dead' franking machines.

It is great that a company has started to do this to help the environment. Before recycling, empty ink cartridges and old franking machines were going to landfill. By recycling we are able to prevent this from happening which is helping the environment immensely.

All ink cartridges and ribbons back for recycling. Please post to:

Francotyp-Postalia Ltd
“Recycling Centre”

We do this because the company is committed to meeting all relevant environmental legislation as well as all other external requirements relating to its business. This policy is communicated to an external audience as well as to all personnel who may work for or on behalf of the company.

This policy is achieved through the implementation and continuous development of an Environmental Management System (EMS) that meets both the requirements of the international Standard ISO 14001:2004, as well as any statutory requirements that may apply to the business.
